I am so sorry for your loss. She must have been a lovely woman, whom loved family. I am great grand daughter to James Patrick Powers born Canada first wife was Annie Fitzgerald of San Antonio, Texas; your loved ones grandfather. I just last week began researching his family history, as I have done for many years with little luck. I ran across this post below: Verna sent back in 2000. I am directly related to James and his second wife Jennie whom did indeed have several more children. If you are interested in any family history, please don't hesitate to contact me. He was born in 1860 I think in Prince Edward Island.From what I have been told the family came from Ireland. He then moved to San Antonio, Texas where he married my Grandmother Annie Fitzgerald. They had five children my father John Henry, a son Gerald and a daughter Margaret called Meg. a set of twins who died as infants. My grandmother also died young in her 30's.
