Sierra View is more than just a funeral home — we are an active component in the Olivehurst area communities we serve. Throughout the year, our funeral home staff participates in special events, such as hospice walks, educational programs, military tributes, and so much more.

Stars & Stripes Flag Retirement Program
Established June 14, 2018
Our funeral home serves as a Sacramento community collection point for American flags that are old, worn, torn and faded. Throughout the year, these beloved flags are stored safely and disposed of in the proper, dignified manner as outlined by the United States Flag Code. MORE INFO

Wreaths Across America: Dec. 14, 2019
We will honor and pay due respect to our nation's veterans during the national Wreaths Across America events in our cemetery. Volunteers are needed and appreciated.
Senior Resource Fair: Nov. 7, 2019
Stop by our table at the Yuba Sutter Senior Center to learn about the options and benefits of planning final arrangements in advance at Sierra View. This free event will feature more than 50 vendors, including senior housing, nutrition, legal services, financial services, health care, document shredding, flu shots & much more!
Día de Los Muertos: Nov. 2, 2019
Free, family-friendly event features a community altar, music, vendors, sugar skull painting, Coco movie screenings and delicious food (enjoy complimentary hot chocolate & traditional Mexican bread).
Marysville Peach Festival: July 19-20, 2019
Be sure to visit our booth at the Marysville Peach Festival. We'll be handing out free candy to the kiddos and registering people for a chance to win a BBQ, as well as a free burial space!
Memorial Day Service: May 27, 2019
We warmly invite you to attend our annual tribute in remembrance of the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Easter Sunrise Service: April 21, 2019
Experience serenity and peace at Sierra View as we witness dawn’s first rays during our community sunrise service with Praise Chapel. After this uplifting service, we'll have an Easter egg hunt and face painting for the kids, as well as refreshments and fellowship.

Flag Retirement Ceremony: Oct. 13, 2018
Sierra View will host a free, community event in collaboration with Boy Scout Troop & Crew 7050, American Legion Post 705 and the Wheatland Fire Department. The ceremony will be centered around U.S. flag etiquette and history. This respectful, patriotic program is a moving tribute and educational experience that also provides an opportunity to remember and honor those who served our country and fought for our freedom. Memorial Day Patriotic Remembrance: 10 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2018
This special commemoration pays tribute to the valiant men and women who have protected our freedom by serving in the military and will feature a soloist performance of the National Anthem; presentation of our nation’s colors; words of inspiration from local pillars in the community; and participation by various local organizations.

Light of Hope Community Candlelight Remembrance: Dec. 17, 2016
Please join us for a beautiful and moving event designed to bring the community together to remember those we’ve lost. The lighting of candles in remembrance of loved ones is an impactful, visual ceremony. Our desire is to provide comfort, hope and healing to all who attend.
We Remember 9-11 Lapel Pin Giveaway: Sept. 6-10, 2016
In honor of the victims and heroes of Sept. 11, 2001, the community is invited to receive a free lapel pin courtesy of Sierra View Mortuary. These commemorative pins will be available for pickup beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Saturday, Sept. 10, at the funeral home.
