Obituary of Oakley Clifford Barrett

Oakley Clifford Barrett Passed away on June 22, 2011 at his home in Olivehurst, CA. He was born in Columbia City, Indiana on February 26, 1931 to William P. and Fayra M. Barrett. Oakley served in the Armed Forces where he met and married Clara Neukirchner who was also in the Army at that time. They were married for a little over 57 years and they lived in Yuba County for a little under 56 years. He worked for Valley Truck and Tractor for over 30 years, primarily at the Robbins store. Oakley was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife: Clara (Neukirchner) Barrett of Olivehurst, sons, Charles Barrett of Yuba City, William Barrett of Olivehurst, Steven Barrett of Arboga, and daughter, Fayra Staas of Marysville. Grandchildren, Brian Barrett of Yuba City, Christopher Barrett of Yuba City, Garrett McAdams of Marysville, Donovan McAdams of Marysville, Natalie Staas of Marysville, and Annabelle Barrett of Arboga. Great grandchild, Caden Barrett of Yuba City. Friends and family are invited to attend the viewing and graveside services to be held at Sierra View Memorial Park, 4900 Olive Ave. in Olivehurst, CA 95961. Viewing will be from 1-4pm on Tuesday, June 28 and graveside services will be at 1pm on Thursday, June 30 with a pot luck following at his residence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Oakley Barrett to Fremont Rideout Hospice, 939 Live Oak Blvd., YC 95991. Cremation is planned at Sierra View Crematory in Olivehurst, California. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
