Obituary of Federico Silva Arellano

Federico Silva Arellano, was born November 10, 1923, and passed away peacefully with his wife and loving family members at his side on September 9, 2011 in Live Oak, California. May God bless him and keep him in restful and eternal peace. Federico was born in Villa Guerrero, Jalisco, Mexico to Hilaria & Juan Silva. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Maria, his brother, Aureliano and nine children: Alejandrina, Reginaldo, Juan, Angel, Marcos, Esther, Griselda, Javier, Leticia and their families. He cherished the time he spent with his 12 loving grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Margarita & four brothers: Ovidio, Bardomiano, Francisco, and Jose. Federico loved listening to Mariachi music, dancing, playing cards, & playing dominoes with his grandchildren. He was a strong role model who encouraged all of his children to pursue their education. He epitomized hard work and taught his children a strong work ethic in order to help them achieve their goals. He will be missed dearly. Our thanks to the wonderful caregivers at River Valley Care Center and to the many kind friends who have been so helpful during this period. A Rosary will be held at 7pm on Thursday, September 15, at the Sierra View Mortuary Chapel in Olivehurst, California. Mass will be held at 12 noon on Friday September 16, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville, California. Funeral services will take place immediately following the mass at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, California. Flowers can be sent to Sierra View Mortuary. Mark S.
