I am deeply sadden to have heard the news of the passing of Don Silva, and so soon after my own father's passing (july 25, 2011). Don Silva and his wife Jesusita babysat my sister and I for several years. They were like grandparents to us, kind and loving. Everytime I reflect on my childhood such great memories come to mind of Don Silva. I can still hear his voice dancing in my ears, and his tight warm hugs. I can still smell his warmth and feel the love and kindness he showed to us. I am so sadden to hear of his passing and even sadder I didn't know earlier so I could pay my last respects. Don Silva que dios lo tenga en su santa gloria. Im sure you and my father ( Arturo Cortez) have a lot to talk about up in heaven.
