Jimmy David Scarberry; 73, of Live Oak passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones on September 29, 2020.Jimmy was born in Marysville, Ca on February 16, 1947 to parents Harvey and Frankie Scarberry Jimmy was a proud Army Veteran whose commitment to his country allowed him to serve in both the 101st and 82nd Airborne as a Combat Engineer in Vietnam. After the Army, Jimmy spent 40 plus years running and operating heavy equipment to provide for his family. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Penny Scarberry; two children Tommy Scarberry and Toni Scarberry-Cavanaugh. He has three grand children;Ashley Scarberry, Kayla Scarberry, and Amy Scarberry along with one great grandchild Ellie Hansen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents Harvey Lee Scarberry and Frankie Louise Scarberry as well as his two sisters Barbara Jean Scarberry and Betty Lowe. Jimmy was a devoted family man and proud veteran who will be missed greatly by those whose lives he touched. During this time, the family requests privacy. Services are to be observed at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
