Obituary of Robert Martin Steelman

Robert Martin Steelman, 84, of Olivehurst, CA passed away on October 2, 2018 in Olivehurst, CA. Robert was born in Ripley, Tennessee to Elbert Steelman and Bessie Steelman on December 3, 1933. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, as well as 3 years in the National Guard. He also retired from Marysville Joint Unified School District. After retiring he enjoyed spending his time fishing and using his ham radios. Robert is survived by his wife, Freda Steelman, of 63 years. His children Wayne Steelman and Phyllis Boom (Greg Boom). His grandchildren Tarah Green (Chris Green), Ashley Boom (Aaron Stallins), Mallory Boom, Jeffrey Steelman, and Cody Steelman. His great grandchildren Hailey Green, Christopher Green Jr., Abigail Stallins, Wyatt Steelman, and Oliver Stallins. He is preceded in death by his daughter Paula Steelman, his father Elbert Steelman, his mother Bessie Steelman Vann, his sister Margaret, and brother Bill. Funeral services will be held at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, CA on October 11, 2018 at 10:00 am. Celebration of life service will follow at 11:30 am at New Beginnings Wesleyan Church at 616 C Street in Marysville, CA, with Pastor Johnny Burke and Pastor Al Jolley officiating. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Sierra View Mortuary.
