Obituary of Shirley Jean Wood

Shirley Jean Wood, age 80, passed away on September 20, 2018. She was born on November 19, 1937 in Henrietta, Oklahoma to Larry and Pearl Espinoza. Shirley moved with her family to California at a young age and lived her life in the Yuba-Sutter area, attending local schools. Shirley is survived by her daughter Jackie, daughter Kathy and son-in-law Stanley Reynolds, daughter Brenda and son-in-law Robert Wentz, daughter Tammy and son-in-law Guy Harris. She is also survived by grandchildren Andy and Angie Reynolds, Jennifer and Kenneth Kennedy, Jonathan and Robyn Reynolds, Dallas Wentz, Amanda Wentz and Ryan Sharrett, Scarlett Harris, Jacob Harris and Suzanne Balzli, and Veronica Harris. Her nine great grandchildren are Abigail, Brooklynn, Lucas, Emily, Levi, Julia, Piper, Kaydence, and Rylie. A tenth great grandchild, Baron, is expected in January. Sisters Pearl, Patricia, and Delores also survive her. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Ted and her youngest daughter Vicky. She is also preceded by her parents Larry and Pearl, two sisters Bertha and Elveda, and her brother Charles. Visitation will be held at the Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California on Wednesday, September 26, between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held at the Word of Life Church, 1229 Buchanan Street in Marysville at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, Pastor Stan Reynolds officiating. Graveside service will follow at the Sierra View Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Word of Life Church, 1229 Buchanan Street in Marysville.
