Obituary of Richard J. "Dick" Hase
Richard (Dick) J. Hase, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Dick was born June 14, 1937, in Joliet, IL, to the late Herman and Martha Hase. At the age of 8, he moved with his family to Phoenix, AZ. When he was 17, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country honorably for 20 years. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for Houston Fearless 76 as a Technical Writer for many years. Dick, the youngest of 4 children, was preceded in death by his three sisters, Charlotte Pritz, Phyllis Fisher, and Arlene Transue. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Gigi Hase; his daughter, Sue Pritchard and her husband, Don; his son, Michael Hase; and his son, Mark Hase. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dick was an avid fisherman who spent many nights catching big fish on the Feather River and he could frequently be found on the golf course. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA, at 11:30 am. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
