Obituary of Judith Leigh "Judie" Laster (Lawrence)
Judie was born Judith Leigh Lawrence on January 3rd 1947 in Marysville, California to parents Sheldon and Dorothy Lawrence. She was born with a creative and adventurous spirit and a gentle, loving soul. She married her high school sweetheart James Jay Laster and moved from Marysville in the late 60's to San Francisco to work for Pacific Bell in the Graphic Arts and Reproduction Dept. Once they decided to have children, back to Marysville they went where they went on to have three children, Rhonda, Laurie and Wes. Judie made lifelong friendships through her varied interests. She was a 4H member, a Blue Bird Troop Leader, a Sorority sister in Beta Sigma Phi, she caught fish, pitched tents, hunted geese, ducks and bears, 4-wheeled with the best of the Yuba Sutter 4-Wheel Drive Club. She went to school and received her AA in Graphic Arts. She worked in the library, the Del Monte cannery, the ASCS office issuing checks to farmers and retired from work life in 2009 after 10 years in 611 with AT&T. Her creative and adventurous spirit will live on with her unconditional love for her 3 children, 14 grand-children and 4 great-grandchildren. Judie is preceded in death by her parents Sheldon and Dorothy Lawrence, brother Joseph Lawrence, sister Colleen Buckner and grandson Robert Blaine Vanatta. She is survived by her sister Ruth Robbins of Idaho, her children; Rhonda Stefko (Jeff) and their four children, Anthony, Jennifer, Madison and McKenzie. Laurie Ros (Joe) and her three children Dustin, Aidan and Gracie; Wesley Laster (Janet) and their four children Sam, Erika, Anthony, Treyton, Gage and Jewel and 4 great-grandchildren; Chloe, Robert, Sophia and Cali.
