Obituary of Florencio Santana

Florencio (Lencho) Santana, age 93, of Olivehurst, passed away February 17, 2017. He was born February 23, 1923, in El Rancho, El Platanar pertaining to Juchitlan, Jalisco, Mexico. First came to USA as a bracero and has been a resident of Yuba County for over 63 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marina Santana; six children, Laura Skinner, Emma Arellano, Luis Santana, Rosemary Campos, Elisa Santana, & Veronica Campos, fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, three siblings, Francisca Gonzales, Refugio Avalos, and Carmen Ponce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Magdaleno and Maria Santana, siblings, Guadalupe Ortiz, Maria de Jesus Santana, Jose Santana, Encarnacion Figueroa, Engracia Ruesga, and Manuel Santana. A viewing will be Tuesday February 21, 2017, from 4-7pm with a rosary at 7pm at the chapel at Sierra View Mortuary. Mass will be at 10am Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville followed by burial at Sierra View Memorial Park.
