Obituary of Blake William Dean
On Thursday, January 26, 2017, Blake William Dean, of Yuba City, age 33, passed away peacefully and went home to be with Jesus. This was very sudden and totally unexpected. He was born November 15, 1983, in Carmichael, CA to William "Bill" and Penny Dean. He attended school at Foothill Oaks Elementary, Foothill Jr High, Foothill High School (Honor Student), as well as Yuba College, and Ashworth College. When Blake was at Foothill High School he played football. Blake started working at 8 years old with a wagon and mower. He would go around the trailer park where he lived, with his brother and dad, mowing and doing odd jobs for their neighbors. A few years later he was on his own and expanding his services to include landscaping. He later went on to be a Landscape Foreman. He again joined his dad and brother framing houses and driving a forklift. Blake worked at Sunsweet driving a forklift in the Shipping Department. Feeding his love for mowing, he ran Blake's Landscaping. He then found his home as a Maintenance Professional at Lakeside Village Apartments, WestCal Management. Blake enjoyed woodworking, fishing and deer hunting. Blake and his son, Adam, spent some late nights studying US History, one of Blake's favorite subjects. He always had Adam under the hood of a car with him and at 9 years old Adam could change the oil in the car with Dad at his side. Blake was preceded in death by his mother, Penny Dean. Blake is survived by his wife, Julie Dean; his son, Adam Dean; his father, Bill Dean; his brother, Scott (Heather) Dean, and their children, James Dean, Jasmine Dean, and Jacy Dean; his mother-in-law, Joann Dobelbower; sister-in-law, Tricia (Bruce) Baker; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Adam and Blake were blessed to be part of an awesome school trip to Washington DC for the 2017 Presidential Inauguration. Blake and Adam have many great pictures together from the trip which are now priceless. Besides the photos there are also wonderful memories. We praise God that they were able to make this trip together. A Celebration of Life for Blake will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 1:00 pm at River Valley Church, 1764 Tierra Buena Road, Yuba City, CA 95993. Arrangements are under the direction of Sierra View Mortuary & Memorial Park, (530) 742-6957.
