Obituary of Gabriel A. Jarzombek

Gabriel Jarzombek, of Marysville, passed away on January 15, 2017. He was born June 26, 1948, in Floresville, Texas. Gabe was in the Army and loved serving his country while working in atomic demolition. Soon after leaving the Army, he began a career in architectural drafting where he had a hand in creating many of the buildings we see around the Bay Area. Gabe came to Yuba City in 1996. His favorite pastime was wrenching on his 1969 Chevy Camaro hot rod. He loved the outdoors and was a fisherman. He enjoyed sports, baseball and football most, hoping the SF Giants would win another World Series and the 49ers could just "get it together". He also enjoyed playing pool and darts with his buddies, and was always a fan of good rock and roll music. He was a kind, fun loving man with a big heart and even bigger smile. He was a high spirited fellow that loved spending time with family and friends. Gabe was a great listener, but wasn't afraid to tell it like it is. He loved the simple things, a nice sunset or the sound of rain on the rooftop. He was a simple man with big hopes and dreams for his life. Gabe is survived by his daughter and best friend, Jennifer Jarzombek, granddaughter, Brianna Berard, mother, Dorothy Brown, brothers, Francis Jarzombek and Mark Bradley, nephew, Mark Bradley, II, and niece, Ciara Bradley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Jarzombek. He was a wonderful father and friend and will be greatly missed by many. One day you're here and gone, but we'll never forget you. A Celebration of Gabe's Life will be held on Saturday, January 28, at 12 p.m. at Stassi's 4th Ward Tavern in Marysville.
