Obituary of Stanley Ray Snyder
Stanley R. Snyder, also known by many as "Stan the Man," age 80, a lifetime resident of Yuba City, passed away on November 17, 2016 at the Post Acute Center in Yuba City. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia, and her spouse, Mark Crawford, Patty's two daughters, Sara and Rebekah Glass; his sister, Joann Fite, and her two daughters, Marjorie Helmer and Sherry Henley; his granddaughter, Brandi DiCola; and his devoted companion of 14 years, Jeanne Alcorn. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Di Cola. He retired from Sutter Waste Management where he started working soon after he graduated from Yuba City High School. He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with his family, and church family. He was devoted to the Rescue Mission for many years and loved by everyone. His outreach also included a couple of missionary trips to Brazil and Burkina Faso, Africa. He was a member of Cooper Avenue Baptist Church in Yuba City for forty years and services will be held there on Wednesday, November 30th, at 10 am. Officiated by Pastor David Turner. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
