Obituary of Dorinda Ralph (Farley)

Dorinda {Farley} Ralph August 6, 1933 - July 16, 2017 Dorinda Ralph, age 83, was born in Swansea, Wales, Great Britain to Albert Edward Farley and Lilly Agnes {King} Farley. She had seven brothers and four sisters: Audrey May, Albert Gwyn, Alan Desmond, Jean Mary, Peter, John Colin, Anthony Edward, Olwen, and the only surviving brother, William Derek John. She married George Jay Ralph on April 9, 1955, in Slough, England while he was serving in the U.S Air Force. He was from Brownsville Texas. Dorinda is survived by eight loving children: Mary Ann Robinson {Lafayette, IN}, Nancy Jeanne Tredway {Bensalem, PA}, Sarah Jayne Dressler {Vancouver, WA}, Lorna Ralph Ball {Palm Desert, CA}, Elizabeth Irene Ralph {Marysville, CA}, Andrew David Ralph {Sacramento, CA}, Margaret Ellen Ralph {Marysville, CA}, and Kathryn Ann Ralph {Marysville, CA}. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Chelsea Jeane Robinson, Courtney Elizabeth Tredway, Kyle Jacob Wood, Christopher Cole Davis, Anthony Nicholas Davis, Jordon Daniel Davis, Joshua Robert Dressler, Matthew Isaac Dressler, Caleb George Dressler, Dorinda Ralph, Jr.; and 4 great grandchildren: Landon James Dressler {deceased}, Brody Allen Dressler, Brock Anthony Dressler and Aliya Davis. Dorinda emigrated to the United States in 1957 when her husband was assigned to Walker AFB in Roswell, New Mexico and settled in the Marysville area in 1967 when George retired from Beale AFB. Dorinda was a loving mother to not only her children but many others also as she took up watching children when the children were gone. An active member at the Marysville Methodist Church, Dorinda sang in the choir for 25 years, and served on many boards including Staff/Parish Relations Committee, the Outreach Program, and the Administrative Council. A Celebration of Dorinda's Life will be held on Saturday, August 19, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Marysville. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
