Obituary of Myrtle Deborah Drummond (Hill)

Mrs. Myrtle Deborah (Hill) Drummond of Marysville, CA was called home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2016. Myrtle spent the majority of her adult years as a homemaker to her husband, a career Air Force man, and their six children. Myrtle enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing bingo and attending to the needs of her numerous friends and family. Preceding her in death was her husband of 51 years, MSgt. Joe L. Drummond (Ret, USAF) of Greenville, S.C.; parents Osborne Hill and Josephine (Hatton) Hill of Marysville, CA; brother Michael Hill of Marysville, CA; mother-in-law Eulately (Childs) Drummond of Washington, DC; grandsons William "Billy" Drummond of Columbia, SC and Robert Drummond of Detroit, MI. Mrs. Myrtle Drummond, who resided in Dayton, OH upon her death, is survived by four sons, Joey A. Drummond of the United Arab Emirates (UAE); Kevin T. Drummond Sr. of Anniston, AL; Jerrald L. Drummond (Stephanie) of Kennesaw, GA; Master Gunnery Sergeant Eric A. Drummond (Ret, USMC) of Beaufort, SC; Deborah Willis of Columbia, SC; and Major Phyllis D. Noble (Ret, USAF)/(TSgt Eugene J. Noble, Jr., Ret, USAF) of Dayton, OH. Mrs. Drummond is also survived by four sisters, Ms. Allene Warren and Ms. Karen Hill, both of Oakland, CA; Mrs. Beverly White of Memphis, TN; and Mrs. Margaret Turnbo (Cliff) of California City, CA. She is also survived by one brother, Mr. David Hill of Marysville, CA, 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grand children. Friends are invited to visit on Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. until Noon at Sierra View Mortuary. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at Noon at the mortuary with committal to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are in care of Sierra View Memorial Park & Mortuary, Olivehurst, CA.
