Obituary of Twyla Bernice Pfyl
Twyla Mayberry Pfyl, born December 30, 1922, went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2015. She was born to Ludy and Clara Portwood in Porterville, California. Twyla was a resident of Marysville and Yuba area for the past seventy years. She was employed at the Green Giant Foods processing plant for fifteen years and at Rideout Hospital for twenty-five years as a housekeeper from where she retired. After her retirement she started a business where she assisted elderly clients to doctor appointments and other errands. She always enjoyed helping others. Twyla will be remembered by her friends for the love of shopping and often wearing the color purple. She never left her home without being color coordinated. Her family would often laugh at her for resting on the sofa while enjoying her three favorite snacks all at the same time: diet root beer, hot coffee and strawberry ice cream. When teased she has a wonderful giggling laugh which in itself would make you laugh. She is survived by her children Dennis (Brenda) Crockett of Pioneer CA, Debbie (Jack) Odom of Yuba City, and Darlene (Wes) Cline also from Yuba City. Grandchildren, Penny Ledoux, Dottie Sherman, Danielle Robinson, Amy Odom, Jason Cline, Jennifer Cline. Eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at Emerald Oaks and Sutter North Hospice for the wonderful care of our mother. There will be a graveside service held at Sierra View Memorial Park, Oct 29 at 11am, 4900 Olive Avenue, Olivehurst CA, 95961.
