Mary Laverne Cummins, age 92, of Yuba City, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2015. She was born on August 15, 1922, in Oklahoma to Chester and Gladys (Hisel) Stogner. Laverne was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, watching the San Francisco Giants, and cooking, and was famous for her banana bread. Laverne is survived by her 4 children: David, Michael, Major, and Darlene Cummins; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and sister, Geraldine. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, Mack Cummins, and her granddaughter, Amanda Cummins. At the family's request, services are private. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
