Obituary of Robert Jon "Cadillac Bob" Martin

Robert (Bob) Jon Martin, Jr. November 1, 1959 to April 29, 2015 On April 29, 2015, Bob Martin, of East Nicholas, California, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife, Linda Varner-Martin. Bob was born at the San Diego U.S. Naval Hospital, the son of Robert Jon Martin, Sr. and Bernidette Louise Wolfgram Martin, of Rocklin, and brother of Cindy Johnson (Jim) of Citrus Heights, and Michelle Haueter (Kurt). He was father to Melissa Martin Hall and Robert (Bobby) Jon Martin, III, of West Sacramento and stepfather to, Karissa Dickinson and Sierra Bozza of East Nicolaus. Bob grew up all over the world in a military family. At 6'7'', Bob distinguished himself early on as a basketball player graduating from Mesa Verde High School in Citrus Heights. To his sisters, Cindy and Michelle, Bob was always, the greatest BIG brother. Known by his friends and family as Cadillac Bob, he would drive his 1966 Cadillac Coupe DeVille convertible to car shows with his best friend, Jimmy Ferris. Bob loved Hot August Nights in Reno. Bob worked at SMUD as an electrician for 10 years. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at Sierra View Mortuary, 4900 Olive Ave, in Olivehurst, on Wednesday, May 6, from 5 to 8 pm. Graveside services will be held on, Monday, May 11, at 10 am at Sierra View Memorial Park, 4900 Olive Ave, in Olivehurst. Friends and family are invited to gather at the American Legion Hall following the services until 4 pm.
