Obituary of Louise D. McAuliff (Gomes)

Louise D. McAuliff, age 84, of Marysville, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2015. She was born in Irvington, California on September 25, 1930. Louise married Edward Joseph McAuliff on February 14, 1952, and the two were happily married for 30 years until Edward's passing in 1982. She raised 11 children and was a homemaker for many years. Louise was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville for over 50 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, and latchhooking. Louise was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend to many and will be dearly missed. Louise is survived by her children: Joseph McAuliff, Sharon Harryman, Edward McAuliff, Helen Thomas, James McAuliff, Dennis McAuliff, Mary Jane Berger, Patrick McAuliff, Anne McAuliff, Kathy McAuliff, and Betty Lou Druck; 31 grandchildren; too many great grandchildren to count; and sister, Rita Baird. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings, and her husband, Edward McAuliff. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place on Sunday, April 26, at 5 p.m. at Sierra View Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 702 C Street, in Marysville. Committal will take place at Sierra View Memorial Park on Monday at 2 p.m. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
