Obituary of Donald Eugene Stevens

Donald Eugene Stevens, Sr., age 69, of Olivehurst, passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2015. He was born on August 18, 1945, in Yuba City to Leland and Mary (Meddock) Stevens. He lived most of his life in Tulare and Kings Counties, but spent the last 10 years in Olivehurst with his family. Donald worked in his family's cotton gin in his youth, and worked as a welder and plasterer as an adult. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his family, and listening to music. Mr. Stevens is survived by his children: Donald Stevens, Jr. (Millie) of Orland, CA, Richard Stevens, Sr. (Stacey) of Leon, KS, Robert Stevens, Sr., of Kansas City, MO, Raymond Stevens, Sr. (Twyla) of Olivehurst, and Rebecka Stevens of Marysville; siblings: Leland "Butch" Stevens, Jr. (Elaine) of Visalia, CA and Mary Jane Stevens (Harold Wiebenga) of Hanford, CA; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Mary Stevens. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13, at 2 p.m. at Life of Christ Ministry, 1699 8th Ave., in Olivehurst, with a reception to follow. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
