Ada M. Shaw, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to Jesus on January 1, 2015. She was born in Wooster, Ohio, daughter of William P. Petty and Audra W. (Eckelberry) Petty. Ada was well-loved and well-respected by all. She was a dedicated military wife, following her husband around the world. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years. She was active at the B Street First United Methodist Church and continued her church activity at the First United Methodist Church on Colusa Highway. She then became active at the Cornerstone Church She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harold; her son, Gerry, living in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and his wife, Ann; her daughter Linda, living in Gatesville, Texas, and her husband, Jim; and her daughter, Sandra, living in Bodo, Norway, and her husband, Guttorm. She is also survived by four grandsons and 9 great-grandchildren. Ada is going to be missed by those who had the privilege and honor of knowing her. She was a gracious and good lady. Services will be private. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
