Shirley Ann Pfeifer, age 77, of Olivehurst, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2014. She was born on January 29, 1937, in Jefferson, Oklahoma to Eugene and Dorothy (Bonham) Day. Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, embroidery, playing Bingo and playing slot machines. Shirley is survived by her daughters: Rose Margheim of Kansas and Cathy Smith of Olivehurst, CA; son: Joe Pfeifer of Missouri; 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters: Mary Jo of Missouri, Geneva Baxter and Bonnie Vargas, both of Kansas; and brothers: Henry Day of Florida, Glen Day of Oregon, and Johnnie Day of Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Pfiefer, sister, Barbara Wares, and brothers, Virgil, Archie, and Jimmie Day. Services will be held at a later date in Kansas, and Shirley will be interred at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, KS.
