Obituary of Ronald Dean Malotte
Ronald Dean Malotte was born June 24, 1938 in Lancaster, California. Ron flew from this old world on October 18, 2014 at the age of 76. He was the son of Carl D. Malotte and Gladys M. Eutsler. He is predeceased by younger sister, Beverly Crosno, and survived by his long time loving companion, Sherry Cress; her daughters, Janelle Douglas and Kasie Sutton; her sons, Adam and Matt Newnam; his daughters Laura Standiford, Cheri, Suzanne, and Deanne Malotte; his sons, Joe and Trip Malotte; and step children, Peggy, Dawn, and Trey. Also, left behind are his brothers, Carl Sr. and Billy J. Malotte, along with many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren all who he loved very much and who, in turn loved him so dearly. Ron spent a great deal of his life in the food business. His food trucks, known as Coffee Express Caterers were a familiar sight throughout the area. Ron was a people person and his mobile food trucks were an ideal way for him to meet and make many new friends. Ron enjoyed buying, selling, and bartering. For many years after leaving the food business, his was a familiar face at storage unit auctions throughout the area. He really didn't like missing a sale! His weekly outdoor yard sales at his former catering business site on Lindhurst Avenue in Olivehurst were always well attended because of his storage unit buys, every event presented new surprises. Of course, some things he could not part with. He liked to say "I like junk." Ron loved the outdoors. He liked to go camping and fishing, particularly with his brother, Carl. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Graveside services are at 11am Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Sierra View Mortuary at 4900 Olive Avenue in Olivehurst. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the services at the American Legion Hall at 5477 Feather River Blvd also in Olivehurst.
