Obituary of Jeanette H. "Jan" Perkins

Jeanette (Jan) Perkins, age 79, of Wheatland, CA, passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2014. Jan was born in Moultrie, GA on July 27th, 1935 and was a resident of the Yuba- Sutter area for nearly 40 years. Jan's life was full and fun loving. She was a world traveler and often was known to say "let's go!" Jan will be remembered for many reasons but mainly because she touched so many lives with her love and generosity. Perhaps you'll think of her "Southern Charm" with her wink and smile, her delicious meals, her gift boxes of beautiful tomatoes or zucchini bread, or her funny antics. Jan is survived by 5 daughters, 2 stepchildren, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her love grows on. Her husbands, Don Perkins of Wheatland and Rusty Morris of Chico, TX, preceded her in life. As Jan would say, "Let's Party", so please join us for a "Celebration of Life" at Wheatland Community Center, 101 C Street, Wheatland, CA, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 am. We will start with a brief service followed by a potluck meal and music, including Karaoke.
