Obituary of Terry Louise Van Tassel (Wilkey)

Terry Louise Van Tassel passed away August 9th, 2014, at her residence in, Olivehurst, CA. Terry "Louise" was born May 27, 1947, to parents Elvin and Leota Wilkey, at San Joaquin General Hospital, French Camp, CA. She lived the last few years of her life in Olivehurst, CA, and before that she lived many years in Loomis, CA and also Rio Linda, CA. Terry "Louise" was a loving Mother, Sister, Daughter, and friend to everyone who knew her. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but also worked a few years at a Retirement care home, and also at a local Nursery. She loved cooking and baking and made delicious homemade pies and chocolate covered candy at Christmas time. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; nobody was a stranger to her. She loved her animals, dolls, jewelry and gardening, and later in life she discovered knitting, and loved it! She is preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Leota Wilkey, and brothers Albert and Doug. She is survived by her children: Brian Van Tassel (Kim), Richard Van Tassel, and Lisa Van Tassel; grandson, Vincent Van Tassel (Michelle) and great grandson, Gabriel; Siblings: John, Brownell, Geneva, Raymond, Genell, David, Gary, Kathy, Patricia and Eldon, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. A private memorial service is planned for family and close friends.
