Obituary of Benjamin Ray "Ben" Young

Benjamin Ray Young, age 70, of Marysville, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014, peacefully at his home. He was born in Marysville, CA on August 18, 1943. Benjamin worked hard from the age of 14 until he retired at the age of 68. He worked in fruit stands, pest control, millwork, rice harvesting, a mechanic at Yuba River Moulding & Millwork Inc., and finished his working years at Naumes Inc. as a mechanic. He was a loving husband and father, and was loved and respected by many. He is survived by his wife Sandra Young of Marysville, brothers Calvin Young of Oklahoma, and Eddie Evans, sisters Linnie Hunter and Mary Denver of Redding. He has six daughters, one son, 22 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Benjamin C. Young, mother Dorothy Marie Lee, and sister Jimmie Sue Harmon. The funeral services will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at 1pm at Sierra View Funeral Home in Olivehurst. There will be a Celebration of Life following the funeral at The American Legion at 5477 Feather River Blvd. in Olivehurst. There will be a viewing on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 3pm-7pm at Sierra View Mortuary.
