Obituary of Manuel Lee "SweetWater" Block

October 19, 1946 - April 8, 2014 Manuel Lee Block passed away at Mercy Hospital, Bakersfield, CA on April 8, 2014. Manuel succumbed to an illness after a long and courageous fight. He was born to the late Stillwell and Oda Bell Block on October 19, 1946 in Bakersfield, California. Manuel and his family moved to Yuba City and Marysville, CA in 1958. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. Manuel had varied and extensive work experience. He was a man of character and integrity and had a benevolent stature who shared his love for life, kindness and personal means with family and friends. His mother, father, two brothers and a sister predeceased Manuel. Two sisters and two brothers survive him. Funeral Services are to be held at Sierra View Memorial Park Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 12:30 p.m.
