Obituary of Bonnie Eilene Herrig (Wilson)

Bonnie Eilene Wilson Herrig passed away quietly and in her sleep on May 4, 2014. She was born on March 4, 1923, on a farm near the very small town of Rippey, Green County, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, John James and Clara Evelyn Morris Wilson; her husband, Robert Herman Herrig (her husband was an Army veteran in World War II, participating in battles as a paratrooper in Germany) in 2000; her son, Stephen Philip Herrig in 2009; her brother, George Edward Wilson; and her niece, Sandra Lea Wilson. She is survived by her son, Ronny Gene Herrig, Maryland; her brothers, Errol Arthur Wilson, Perry, Iowa, and Robert "Bob" Eugene Wilson, Weatherford, Texas; her nephews, Errol Lynn (Barbara) Wilson, Minnesota, Dean Arthur Wilson, California, John Edward (Peggy) Wilson, Iowa, and John Charles (Tonya) Wilson, Texas; and her nieces, Sharon Mae Wilson Bates, Iowa, Roberta Eilene Wilson, Texas, and Betty Mae Wilson (Charlie) Martin, Texas. Bonnie will always live in the hearts of those that have been touched by her compassion, kindness, love of her family, and her deep and abiding faith in the Lord. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Peoria Cemetery, 6240 Marysville Road, in Browns Valley. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
