Obituary of Mabel Inez "Mae" Piper (Waltman)

Mabel "Mae" Piper passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on November 13, 2013. Mae was born on May 27, 1937, and raised in Wisconsin. She met her husband, Joe Piper, while working as a teller in Chicago; then, as a military wife, followed her husband to Massachusetts, Texas, and finally settled in Yuba City, where she resided for the last 40 years. Mae enjoyed sewing, travel, her daily crossword puzzles, and finding deals at her local flea market. Mrs. Piper is survived by her husband, Joe, son, Joe Piper, daughter, Rosemarie Tracy, grandchildren, Jeremy Piper, Justin Tracy, and Cameron Tracy, great grandchild, Adisyn, and her remaining siblings in Wisconsin. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21, at 1 p.m. at Sierra View Mortuary, 4900 Olive Ave., in Olivehurst. There is no visitation and committal is private.
