Obituary of Betty Jean Davis

September 21, 1933 - November 3, 2013 Betty Jean Davis, 80, passed away Sunday November 3, 2013 at her home in Yuba City surrounded by those who loved her, including her sweet little dog, "Coco". Betty was born in Cromwell, Oklahoma on September 21, 1933 and recently celebrated her 80th birthday. She was the daughter of Horace and Etelkia Mason. She graduated from Oroville High School in Oroville, CA, and worked for Sutter County Superintendent of Schools until her retirement in 1989. She was a Yuba-Sutter resident for over 60 years and survived the flood of 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace & Etelkia, 3 siblings, her husband of 55 years Jack Davis and her son Eric Eliason. Betty has 2 daughters Sharon (Ray) Carter of Marysville, Linda Zanze of Ione, and step-daughter Paula (Ron) Woodrum of El Dorado; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty was a hardworking, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed riding on the back of the motorcycle with Jack and friends over the years and is riding the golden paved streets of heaven with him right now. Betty will be missed by many, especially her family. There will be a viewing at Sierra View Memorial Park, 4900 Olive Ave., Olivehurst, CA 95961, on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at America Legion, Linda Post 705, 5477 Feather River Blvd., Olivehurst, CA 95961.
