Obituary of Maria Theresia Johnson

Maria Theresia Johnson, age 85, of Marysville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, September 30, 2013. She was born on April 16, 1928, in Lohholz, Germany to Otto and Katharina (Schreck) Bernhard. Maria was an Associate at Montgomery Ward for 30+ years and then worked in banking during her retirement years. She enjoyed crocheting and bringing joy to others. She was a supporter of Relay for Life, Pink October, February Heart Month and many other non-profit organizations. Maria is survived by her daughters, Linda Mink-Sanghu (Donnie) and Katie Garland; grandchildren Tracy Mink (Chad), Jennifer Lovejoy (Garrett), and Melody Beidler; seventeen great grandchildren and hundreds of other relatives and very close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon "Johnny" Johnson, and her parents, Otto and Katharina Bernhard. In lieu of flowers, Maria requested a donation to Rideout Cancer Center, 618 5th St Marysville CA 95901. You are invited to attend the blessed reunion of Mary (Maria) and Johnny (Gordon) on Friday, October 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park, 4900 Olive Ave., in Olivehurst. Maria will be laid to rest next to her beloved Johnny who she loved and missed so very much.
