Obituary of Rev. Dana Andre Poe

Rev. Dana Andre` Poe, born November 5, 1954, a great man of God, loving husband, father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord, September 16, 2013. He was a veteran having served in the Army. He was a great inspiration to all he came into contact with. He had been in ministry for over 35 years as an Evangelist, Youth Pastor and Pastor in Michigan, Florida, Idaho and California (where he was currently pastoring Lighthouse Christian center in Olivehurst). Pastor Poe loved God and loved people and his overwhelming love for others was accompanied by His great love to preach the Word. Throughout these years of ministry, he has touched many lives. Dana is survived by his wife, Linda Poe of 27 years, his 2 sons; Christopher (Kaitlin) Poe and Benjamin (Jade`) Poe, 2 daughters; Tiffany Poe and Rebecca Poe, 2 grandchildren; Khari Poe and Elizabeth Poe and his sister, Sandi Poe-Richardson. Rev. Poe was preceded in death by his father, Francis Malcom Poe, his mother, Celeste Madeline Poe as well as his brother, Francis Kevin Calloway. A memorial celebration will be held Tuesday, September 24th at 2:00pm at Lighthouse Christian Center, 5174 Chestnut Road in Olivehurst where he has pastored the last 4 years. Also at 5:00pm (EST) a memorial celebration will be held on the 24th in Michigan at Bright Star Tabernacle on Old Pipestone Road, Eau Claire, Michigan, where he was loved by many friends.
