Obituary of Vera Nadine Korns (Price)

Vera Nadine Austin Korns, age 85, of Olivehurst, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2013, in Marysville. She was born in Arkansas on September 9, 1927, to Russell and Vada (Taylor) Price. Nadine worked as a cashier for several years for the Salvation Army. She was very involved with American Legion Post 807, VFW Auxiliary, and Moose Lodge in Olivehurst. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed. Nadine is survived by her daughters: Shelia Palacio and Charlotte McKinney; grandchildren: Lisa McKinney, Hector Palacio, Tammy Fitch, and Dena Palacio; 9 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Curtis Austin, second husband: Dudley Korns; and siblings: Manford Price and Annie Sue Price. Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 25, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Sierra View Mortuary. A chapel service will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Committal is private.
