Marsell Patterson (Pat) walked into the arms of Jesus at 12:25am on June 5, 2010. He was born in Peacock, Texas on August 28, 1923. Marsell had been a resident of Marysville since 1958. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. Pat was a Church of God minister, a self taught carpenter, plumber, electrician and mechanic. He loved people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking and teasing anyone and everyone. He had a real big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand or money. It has been said by some, that once you meet him, you'll never forget him. He lived his life with the motto "I want to live in a house by the side of the road and be a friend to man". Pat kept his sense of humor until the very end. He was preceded in death by Lorene Patterson, his wife of 55 years, in January 1998. He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Araceli, one brother, William Patterson, 5 children, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Surviving children: Mary Collins of Oklahoma, Clifford Patterson of Marysville, Marie Stass Marysville, Betty Weatherspoon of Washington and Pat Patterson of Oregon. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be private. Funeral Services will be this Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 1:00pm at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst. Burial will be held afterwards at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sutter North Hospice. Jon L.
