Obituary of Antonello Andrea "Tony" Zanotto

Tony, age 71, passed away peacefully at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville, California. A native of Yreka, California, he has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for over 60 years. Tony, an Army veteran, retired as a truck driver for Wonder Bread. He was a member of St. Isadore Catholic Church in Yuba City, California, the Knights of Columbus, an officer with the Italian Catholic Federation, a member of the Teamsters union, a member of the American Legion and was a volunteer fire fighter when he lived in Scotts Valley. His hobbies included nut tree farming and making his own wine. Tony is survived by his wife, Dee Zanotto of Live Oak, California; 2 daughters, Leesa Ekholm of Pocatello, Idaho and Hollie Andrews of Brownville, Maine; 2 sons, Doug Zanotto of Strasburg, Virginia and Mark Ekholm of Acton, Maine. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Enriquez of Florida; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Isadore Catholic Church in Yuba City, California. Father Arlon Vergara will be officiating. Cremation is planned at Sierra View Memorial Park and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Alkaptonuria Society, 12 High Beeches, Childwall, Liverpool, England, UK L163GA. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
