Velma, age 88, passed away peacefully at Emerald Oaks in Yuba City, California after a long illness. A native of Claremore, Oklahoma, she has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for 70 years. Velma retired from Marysville High School as a Custodian of the Girls Gym after 15 years. She is survived by her son, John Carl Worthley and her daughter, Lauvon Carol Tolley. Cremation is planned at Sierra View Crematory in Olivehurst, California. Services are private. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
