Sonja passed away February 15, 2012 at the Yuba Skilled Nursing Center in Yuba City, California with her daughter by her side. Sonja was born to Ludvig and Edith Loftkjaer on November 22, 1929 in Denmark. She was a book keeper by trade until her retirement. Sonja is survived by her 2 children; Kirsten Brochmann of Oregon House, California and Claus Winther of Escondido, California. As per Sonja's wishes, no services will be held. Cremation is planned at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, California. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
