Verda May White, age 99, died peacefully at the Caring Hearts Villa in San Jose, California. A native of Kansas, she enjoyed attending church, sewing and quilting. Verda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Campbell. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Giese of San Jose, California. Verda is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh White; by her brother, Clyde Michael and by her sister, Faye Cowman. Visitation will be Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM with graveside services following at 2:00 PM at Sierra View Memorial Park. Jon L. Fullerton is the funeral director in charge and also officiating at the graveside service.
