Opal M. Walters, 85, of Dobbins, California died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Sierra Oaks Convalescent Hospital in Redding, California. A native of Oregon, she was a resident of Dobbins for 55 years. Opal was an accomplished equestrian, enjoyed fishing and worked for Bank of America for almost 40 years. She is survived by her 2 sons, Jerry Walters of Woodland, and Dan Walters of Redding, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive. Opal was preceded in death by her husband James Walters on December 9, 2000 exactly 10 years to the day. Visitation will be Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Sierra View Mortuary with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be at the Keystone Cemetery in Dobbins, California. Jon L. Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
