Obituary of Joseph Eugene Tucker

Joseph, age 55, died in Olivehurst, California. He was born in Guam, lived in South Hadley, Massachusetts from 1957 to 1961, Bunker Hill, Indiana from 1961 to 1963. He then moved to the Sutter/Yuba area in 1964, where he resided until his death. Joseph, a life long musician, played rhythm guitar and enjoyed playing keyboard. He played in local bands in the Yuba/Sutter area. Amongst the bands Joseph played in, he played in "The Shakers" (circa 1982), "Southbound" and lead guitar in "Big Daddy." He is survived by 2 brothers, John and Thomas Tucker; 2 sisters, Susan Tucker-Christensen and Cecelia Tucker-Luhring. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Tucker & Marjorie (Thurman) Tucker; his grandparents, Otto Tucker & Mattie (Clemons) Tucker, Morris Thurman & Veronica (Larkin) Thurman; and his brother, Christopher Tucker. A Visitation will be held Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sierra View Mortuary, Olivehurst, California. Graveside services will be on Friday, April 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, California. Pastor Rick Rockwood, Chaplain of Sutter North Hospice will be officiating. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
