Melvin (Pete) Tolbert Passed away November 5, 2010 at the age of 81. He was born in Oklahoma on March 22, 1929. He owned and operated The Linda Lunch on Lindhurst Avenue for over 50 years where he was famous for his chili beans. Pete is preceded in death by his wife Jessie of 43 years, his son Rickey and his son-in- law Mark Post. Survivors include daughter Debra Post, grandson Pete Marshall and former son-in-law and caregiver Manuel Marshall. Graveside services will be conducted at 1pm on Wednesday November 10, 2010 at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst. Mark Eliason is the Funeral Counselor in charge of arrangements.
