Obituary of Maria R. Tijerina

Hrna Maria R. Tijerina, age 82, passed away peacefully at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville, California. A native of Raymondville, Texas, she has lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for over 35 years. Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker for 67 years. A member of the Apostolic Faith in Jesus Christ Church in Marysville, California, she enjoyed gardening (her roses), embroidery, ceramics, swap meets and garage sales. Maria is survived by her husband, Apolito R. Tijerina of Olivehurst, California; her 2 sons, Raymond and Luie Tijerina of Everett, Washington; 3 daughters, Elva Fernandez of Sedro Wolley, Washington, Martha Eslick and Diane Carrasco, both of Marysville, California; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-brother, Francisco Tafoya of Weslaco, Texas and several nieces & nephews. A visitation and funeral will be scheduled by Hulbush Funeral Home in Burlington, Washington, followed by burial in the Green Hills Memorial Cemetery in Burlington, Washington. Local arrangements are under the direction of Jon Fullerton, funeral director.
