Obituary of Vada Ileen Tibbetts

Vada, age 66, passed away peacefully at the Sutter Medical Center in Roseville, California. Born in Tulare, California, she has lived in the Yuba-Sutter area for over 51 years. Vada was the kind of person that always tried to make everyone happy. She remembered every holiday and had something for everyone on their special day. Her home was always full of love, baked goods and lots of candies for the kids. She was always checking to make sure everyone got enough to eat and double checking "just to be sure" that you didn't need anything else. Vada always wanted to be certain that family and friends were comfortable. She loved her family first and foremost, but she also loved her animals, her fish and the roses and flowers growing in and around their property. Vada enjoyed music but loved Elvis the best. She fought hard to stay with us and to the end believed that she was going to make it out of the hospital and home to all of us that loved her so much. Vada was kind and loving and always took time to call and check on her children and grandchildren to see how they were doing. There will be a great void in everyone's life that Veda touched. We are all so very lucky to have had a chance to know, love and share part of our lives with Vada. She is survived by her husband Jack, of whom she had been married for 51 years. Vada is also survived by 3 children, Jeffrey Tibbetts, Michael Tibbetts and Susann Ross; 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Curtis, Donovann, Bailey, Mitchell, Tanner and Tristan; and 2 great grandchildren, Riley and Michaela. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park. Pastor Rick Rockwood, Chaplain of Sutter North Hospice will be officiating. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
