Obituary of Mary Louise Spade

Mary went home to heaven on September 19, 2011. She was born in Marysville, California on March 4, 1948 to Calvin & Wanda Swearingen. Mary grew up in Olivehurst California where she met and later married the love of her life, James Carl Spade on November 13, 1964. She was a devoted homemaker, loving mother, sister, aunt, Nana and friend to many. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a very social person. She was a very kind sweet hearted person that had a great sense of humor. Mary lived a joyful life with the people around her and will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, James Carl Spade; her mother, Wanda Swearingen; her sister, Nina Story; and 3 children, Mark & (Julie) Spade, Daniel & (Megan) Spade and Amy Spade, all of Olivehurst, California. Mary is also survived by her 7 grand children, Zachary Spade, Jared Spade, Jerricho Spade, Kathryn Spade, Chyemarah Spade, Lucas Spade and Jay T. Spade. She will be greeted in Heaven by several little angels; her father Calvin Swearingen and her oldest son, Jay Carl Spade whom she has missed greatly. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park. Pastor Lois Black of the First United Methodist Church of Yuba City will be officiating. Guests are invited to join the family after the Celebration of Life at 601 Lask Dr. Yuba City, CA 95991. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
