Obituary of Quirino Trujillo Soto

Quirino Trujillo Soto 83, passed away on July 22, 2010 in Marysville, CA. He was born on October 27, 1926 in Calipatria, CA. Qurirno lived in Sutter County for 55 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Francisca Soto of Yuba City; son, Armando Soto; daughters: Elena Soto Palmieri, Anita Soto, and Irene Soto, all of Yuba City; two brothers: Lupe Soto of Yuba City and Joe Soto of Las Vegas; seven sisters: Isabel Hill, Terry Guaderamma, and Irma Mejia all of Yuba City, Bertha Johnson, Eva Rivera, Diane Richardson and Rose Soto all of Marysville; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Quirino and Teresa Soto; two brothers: Albert and Ray Soto; a son, Robert Soto and daughter, Delia Soto. On Jan. 19, 1945, Dad enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was with the 505th Parachute Infantry and was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. After the war, Dad met and married our mother Francis. Together they raised six children. Dad was a true American Hero who's passion was boxing, football, and baseball. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 28 from 5pm-7pm followed with a Rosary at Sierra View Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville on Thursday, July 29 at 10:00 am followed by Burial at Sierra View Memorial Park. The family would appreciate donations be made to the Sutter North Hospice, 400 Plumas Blvd., Ste. 115, Yuba City, C A 95991. Clark Masters is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
