Martin S. Sommervold, Jr. 74, of Marysville, passed away on August 27, 2010. He had retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years and kept working doing various construction jobs until his death. Martin's hobbies included golf, home restorations and animals. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Sommervold, and by family members Martin S. Sommervold, III, Patrick and Sean Sommervold. A Memorial Service will be at Sierra View Mortuary on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 11:00 am. Pastor Doug Carroccio of Calvary Christian Center in Yuba City, California will be officiating. Burial to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Beal AFB Military Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sutter North Hospice, 400 Plumas Blvd., Suite #115, Yuba City, CA 95991. Jon L. Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
