Cecil, 66, of Marysville, California, went peacefully to heaven to be with Jesus on March 12, 2012. He was born on January 18, 1946 to Acy and Melba Smith in Ar-kansas, Kansas. Cecil lived in the Yuba-Sutter area for over 60 years and was a graduate of Marysville High School. Cecil worked as a cement finisher for many years. He was also a superintendent for Granite Construction. Cecil also helped build the Space Shuttle landing pad at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Maria, California. Survivors include two daughters; Carrie Glass (Chris) and Stacey Newsome (Johnnie) and one son Randy Randall Ray Smith (Kathryn). Cecil is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Smith and 3 sisters; Evelen (Sissy) Cain, Sherry Kay Scullion, and Acelene May Drosi. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, March 19, 2012 at 1:00pm at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, California. Cremation is planned at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst. Pastor Pablo Bonilla of Jesus Messiah Fellowship International in Tampa, Florida will be officiating. Mark S. Eliason is the funeral counselor in charge of arrangements.
