Obituary of Herman Edward Schnick

Herman, age 72, passed away at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville, California. He was a native of Laporte, Indiana and had lived in the Yuba/Sutter area for over 40 years. An Air Force Veteran, Herman had retired from Cal Trans after 20 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He is survived by 2 daughters, Jennifer Johnson of Yuba City, California and Roberta Van Tassell of Marysville, California; grandchildren Gracie Sanchez, Anthony and Aaron Furr, Lilly, Audrey, Julia Johnson, and five great grandchildren. Herman was preceded in death by Brian and Cathy Schnick. A gathering will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, California. Military honors will be provided by the California Honor Guard. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
