Clara A. Rought, age 93 of Marysville, went home to Jesus on September 9, 2011. Born October 6, 1917 in Kylertown, Pennsylvania, Clara had resided in California since 1966. A homemaker for 61 years, she is survived by her daughter, Alice Brundage of Olivehurst, California. Stretching from New York to California, she also leaves numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Clara was preceded in death by children John Thomas of Colorado, Don Thomas of New York, Cora Silsby of California; and husbands Alson Rought and Don Thomas. Clara was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church in Marysville, California. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park. Pastor Kerry Brown will be officiating. Jon Fullerton is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
